TALE OF THE CHRISTMAS WOMAN

Back

A children’s mystery play Tale of the Christmas Woman (Kalėdų bobutės pasaka) was staged in “Keistuoliai” Theatre. It takes the little viewers on a journey across evangelical truths in a company of a camel, a donkey, a dog and a sheep. The play tells about a Christmas Woman living in the North, who knits gifts for children and knows a great deal of exciting fairy tales. On a December afternoon she tells children about a party of animals who set out to welcome Baby Jesus. On their way the travellers are challenged by a series of dangers, adventures and surprises, but their faith helps them to reach the goal. The play speaks the words from the Holy Script and celebrates Christian values, such as love, faith and hope – in a way understandable to children.
